I own a Dell Dimension with 800Mhz Intel Pentium processor
and an intel chipset. I also own a Mark of the Unicorn 2048
MarkII with 24 bit/ 48 Khz recording capabilities. I am
trying to use Vegas Video to record live music. When I arm
the program for record 90% of the time I recieve an error
message that the program can not open the analog channels
of the MOTU sound card. I have no other card in my computer
other than the AGP video card. I have tried everything I
can think of to get the program up and running to record.
It plays back audio perfectly fine if it is imported and
every once in a while it will record. My computer has no
problem running the MOTU in Cubase VST which leads me to
believe that the problem has something to do with the
Direct X drivers or something. If anyone has any advice, or
suggestions please let me know as this problem is slowly
but surely driving me crazy. Thanks a lot.
