Problems with playback

I have rendered a home movie from Sony Movie Studio 9 Platinum into DVD Architect 4.5. The movie played fine in Movie Studio 9, however when I try to play it in Architect I have to hit the play button 3 or 4 times to get it to play. I am afraid if I burn to a disc it might not play right. No matter where I start in the movie I run into this problem. Thanks.

That seems strange, Knot.

What kind of file did you output it as from Movie Studio? Did you output it as a DVD-quality MPEG2? That would be the ideal format.

I don't know what would cause a file to have problems playing.

When you say you're playing it in DVD Architect, do you mean that you've added to a DVD menu and that you're previewing the DVD, launching the video by clicking on the button on the menu page you've created?

Thanks for reply Steve. It was in the MPEG output. I tried to preview in the timeline and through the preview window. I have a move with 5 chapters. When previewing in the timeline you can eventually get it to play by clicking the play button in the timeline 3 or 4 times. In the preview window however if it locks up it will not play. I guess I will burn it to DVD and see what happens. Thanks again.
