Problems with playback of HD footage

I am rendering out HD footage in Vegas, that was captured from the a camera at 240 fps. When I preview the footage in the Vegas preview window everything looks fine. When I render out the footage as a file type of Windows AVI and a template of HDV 1080-60i intermediate, I get alot of squiggly lines running horizontal through the footage. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

It's interlacing and is perfectly normal.

No, actually its not fine., it looked horrible. I figured out that because I had changed my SD template to an HD template that Vegas decided to switch blending fields to NONE giving me horrible looking footage.

Thanks

When resizing interlaced footage in Vegas, one must always select a deinterlace method even when one is not deinterlacing. Otherwise Vegas resizes the interlace comb and gives you the horrible squiggly artifacts you are referring to.
