problems with preview

does anyone know how to turn on the preview window when capturing? i cant even see any previewed video from my camcorder - JVC DV DVL 25 - using firewire.

Alway preview is selected.

Preview sometimes works in batch capture.

It's drivng me spare - help?

also the dialogue box to 'verify tape' continuously pops up - is this a known bug?

I have JVC GR-DVF21 and have no problem capture preview eighther in window or on camcorder. No problem with printing too. Everything works fine.I do not think that it is Vegas problem. Never had pop up messages.
If you have XP them movie director would be the best choice to test a settings. If you can make working in movie director then will work in Vegas.
