Problems with Vegas 4.0 and MOTU 896 interface

HEy I use Vegas 4.0 to do all my audio editing, When I use my MOTU 896 interface during playback, I get gaps in the audio skips, pops clicks, everytime while playing it comes in contact with a new track of audio and such.. Also does it intermitantly during playback at the end of songs. I have it connected to a set of Adats and a BRC, the clock is set to 9-Pin, all connections are correct, when I use the Firewire driver I have these problems, When I use classic it goes away but I want to use the ASIO low latency drivers. Is this a problem anyoen else is having problems with. I have tried this on 2 separete systems, One with AMD the other with P4 768 Megs of RAM and a sep HD, so if anyoen knows what I can do please help!

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you on this.. Well I have tried 512, 384, and 256. I seem to have the same problems everytime. it seems to be when a new file loads or sometimes it is purely intermitant. And I am using the firewire drivers with it. So I don't knwo what to do..
