I am new to this so please forgive my ignorance after i display it. i am putting together a dvd of my daughter set to music. so far so good. at the end of the song with the video, i have another song begin which begins my credits. after the credits, i wanted to throw in a little slideshow of pictures documenting her early childhood years. i havent had any problems with the software until now. i am able to add a few pictures, but eventually i get a message stating "Video: Stream attributes could not be determined".

Any ideas? i am using jpegs and tiff files. thanks in advance!

I've personally never used TIFF images in Vegas, they are typically extremely large, how large is each TIFF file you're using?

You might want to try converting your tiff's into jpgs and see if that helps any.

And if you have more than a handful of still images you need to make sure they are resized down to dimensions that are less than around 2048 pixels per dimension, otherwise you will trip over an extremely annoying feature in VMS where it hangs trying to do the render.

Vegas uses QuickTime for decoding TIFF images. You have to have QuickTime installed with the authoring components in order to do this. It's free from Apple if you want it.

Better yet is to convert your TIFF images to JPEG before using them in Vegas.
