Seeking an experienced producer/editor with expert proficiency in Vegas 4.x, Soundforge and Photoshop. Candidate must also be familiar with other non-linear editing packages (Avid, FCP, Discreet). Experience encoding video to MPEG-1, 2 and 4, RealMedia, QT, and MP3 audio is required. Candidate must be able to operate within strict deadlines, and interface well with clients and staff. Must also be comfortable in a live production environment. Compositing, DVD authoring, and some graphic design skils are also desired. Necessary hardware skills must include DVCPro; DVCAM, Betacam; Mini DV; Firewire; DVD/CD burners; and various professional audio and video production gear. We are located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan -- locally based applicants only. This is a contract position -- salary commensurate with experience. A demo reel will be required.
