Please help us with this problem:
we have a really fast audio server with ultra fast hard-discs in our company.
and this server has 2 gbit network cards and these are locked to 2 produce-computers over a small network.
the produce-computers are 3 GHz IDE Computers with 1 GB Ram with Windows 2000 (updated).
The soundcard is on every computer an delta midiman 1010 with the newest driver. Buffer is 512.
Vegas software is the newest from version 4.
The Server is a 3 GBit Windows 2000 Server with 1 GB Ram and ultrafast Drives.
What we want to do:
I make a session with some files on 3 or 4 channels and want to play it out to our mixer. The audio-files are saved on the audio server over the network.
The Problem:
the problem is that the playout has small droputs at the first time. So we stop and try playout twice, but there are small dropouts again. By trying 3 or 4 times it works without dropouts.
By saveing the audio-files on the local producing computer, there are no dropouts everytime.
Is the network too slow for produceing with vegas on more channels? (the configuration of the network-Cards is OK!)
Have we forgotten some konfiguration for fast network connection?
Does anybody know how we can fix the problem?
For informations which can fix the problem we´ll pay EUR 100! It´s very importand for us to fix it!
Thank you!
