While discussing my enrolling at Valencia Film school, one person said that we will probably cover Product Placement a bitsince its the big rave in Hollywood these days.

My question is how do directors get product placement? Do you take your script to businesses and coporations and try to secure funding in exchange for product placement?

What happens to products after production?

I seem to remember several movies using Mac laptops and them being etched (more appropriately shoved down my throat).

Any advice on if this is a successful way of acquiring funding of projects etc...?
