I am attempting to install Production Assistant 2 from a CD, but I get a message that says "A compatible Vegas Pro installation could not be found."
The CD is brand new; no scratches. My CD drive has been functioning normally, and successfully installed another program from a CD recently.
I have Vegas Pro 14.0 (Build 270; 64 bit) installed in the default location. I purchased it via Humble Bundle, downloaded it from their site, and used the key they gave me. I have not had any problems with it. Reinstalling Vegas Pro 14 has not enabled Production Assistant 2 to recognize it.
My laptop is a Dell Inspiron 5421 running Windows 10, 64 bit -- not all that powerful, but it's been running Vegas Pro 14 without much trouble.
Here are my system specs:
This post suggests checking the registry for the activation key. As far as I can tell, my registry looks correct. Path is pointing to the install location. On a whim, I tried entering the activation key as the data for Path, to no avail. I have switched it back to the install location's address.
Any idea how to convince the Production Assistant 2 installer that I do, in fact, have Vegas Pro 14 installed?
