Thanks these videos are awesome. Spot does a great job explaining this powerful program. But I have a question, these examples assume all the slugs are on the same audio/video time. Can I Place slugs across trcks as well as across time. and what order does PA locate these empty slugs.
now I need a script that batch converts 50 titles from a text file to 50 vegs each containing only that one title and that title as the name of the veg so I can plug them in as both the main title and reporpuse them to a lower third.
Thanks in advance.

Yes you can place slugs anywhere and PA will search starting with slugs (empty events) from the left to right on each track from top to bottom.

The only exception is if you group a video and audio slug together, and the media that you supply has both video and audio, then both slugs will be replaced when the first one in the group is found. That means if it replaces the video first, it will replace both the video and audio (wherever it may be) when it gets to the track with the audio, the audio will already be there and it will not see that event as a slug and move on to find the next slug.

Thanks for the help. for me its an increadable addition to Vegas. Since I bought it my mind has been whirling with the unending applications of Production assistant in automating my productions. Spots videos unlock even more potential.
Thanks

thanks for the video links - that's how I learn best; looking forward to getting these downloaded and studying them so I can start using PA.
