Program won't start always

I am running windows xp and when I try to start Video Factory software it will pop up for a minute and then it stops, I click again and same thing happens. Sometimes 4 or 5 times sometimes it starts first try.
AMD 2000
512 memory
All the lastest updates for XP
Sony DVD
Anybody got any ideas?

You might try uninstalling, deleting all SF folders and files via Explorer, defragging, and reinstalling?? Grob

Usually if an uninstall and reinstall of software hasn't cured a conflict there's an old file lurking somewhere. Try uninstalling again and do a search for any other SF programe files, and delete. If it doesn't show it may be in registry, but if you're not confident don't go there:

RUN/type regedit/_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Sonic Foundry

I'm 98 but I think with xp as well as turning off everything when installing not essental you have to disable system restore too. And don't forget to reinstall the 2.0c build too.
