This is slightly off-topic, but I'm sure I'm going to get the best answers here. :)
I've just got a new camera (Canon XM2 [GL2 in the States]), which has a progressive mode. I live in the PAL world, so the 25 fps of PAL isn't too far from the 24 fps of a film camera. The question is:
Given that the movies I make invariably finish up on DVD, mostly for my own use, but sometimes distributed to a limited number of engineering companies we deal with, and as such are played on both TVs and computers, which is the best mode - interlaced or this progressive? What are the pros and cons? And, are there any differences in procedure when using Vegas / DVDA ?
