Project 1hr 14min = Render 1hr 1 min (4 times)

My project is 1 hr and 14 mins. I rendered it in Main concepts Blu-ray and it comes out as 1 hr and 1 min??? I've redone it 4 times checking parameters (ie un-check render loop only) and it still come out as 1 hr 1min.
In November when I rendered the DVD (mp2) came out as 1 hr 14min, I was just trying to re-render for Blu-ray (m2t) that I run into problems.
Here is the really weird part: The beginning and ending title are present in the video file, it is just "compressed" perhaps?
I can not for the life of me figure out what is going on here. I did upgrade to VMS 10 from VMS 9 and can not now open the project in 9 to see if that would work.
Thanks for your help in advance,
Gary
PS upgraded to 10 so I could do Blu-ray menus.

Vegas projects are *never* backwards compatible. Always save your last version so you can go back if needed. Either re-name the old one, or re-name the new one. Once you've opened and saved (the same filename) under the new version it's too late to go back.

Well that doesn't really explain the problem BUT I do have a backup copy for VMS 9, on my server. Just think it is odd, and "should" work with VMS 10.

FYI: OK weird #2: I rendered the Audio and it was the correct length: 1hr 14 min ????
I guess I can always open the project in VMS 9 and re-render from there, but you know.. I shouldn't have to. Have to find the project file from an old backup.

Went back and loaded my archived project file name into VMS 9. When I rendered in verson 9 I still got 1 hr 1 min from a 1hr 14min video? This is very odd, I'd hate to think what I've changed in my computer since November. Maybe I'll try the Sony Blu-ray rendering and see if that works. Maybe the files that perform the render got messed up when I installed VMS 10? I guess if it writes the file that does this to the windows system or driver folder it would mess up both versions? I did a regular DVD render (not high def) and it was fine too. So it is just the Blu-ray rendering at 1920. Still odd, DVD ok, and the sound rendered fine!! (1 hr 14 min)
I'm confused.

Right-click on your media file and click Properties. Are the playback and undersample rate set at 1.0?
glmccready wrote on 1/14/2011, 9:15 PM
I did check my playback and undersample rates and they were 1.0 The HD blu-ray render came in at 1hr 1min even though my DVD render and sound render was fine. Still weird that the HD render in Nov worked but it was 1440 and not 1920? I'll try a 1440 render again to see if that works. Perhaps it is only the 1920 that is messed up? Very odd!

Playback the clip and start a timer. Windows explorer are often wrong when reporting actual length of media.

THANKS: OK I rendered 30 min of my vid in Blu-ray 1920 HD. Windows 7 64bit says my vid is 26min. I used a STOP Watch and it is actually 30 min. It got to the 26min mark and played for 4 more minutes.
