Hi,
Under projects advanced settings "Deinterlace method"

What is the best settings one should use for PAL DV ie

None, blend fields or inerpolate fields ?
also,

Is there a suggested "motion blur" settings one should use for "jerky" footage ?
ie. when editing frame by frame, some frames show "double vision" due to footage taken from one yacht of another yacht with high zoom settings!

Deinterlace method is really a subjective setting. I prefer "Interpolate" myself, but "Blend" offers a little bit of motion-blur look, if you want that. It really depends on the source footage, the output frame rate, and what look you're looking for. Try it both ways and see which you like better.

Motion Blur may not be the best way to deal with a shakey picture (boat to boat), but you can give it a try. It may just make a blurry mess <g>, since it's more of an artistic effect rather than a tool to fix video. Vegas 3 doesn't really have a good motion tracking stabilizer.
