Hello,
I'm hoping somebody can help me out with the following issue ...
I've just successfully completed a large project in which I've got several hundred short clips extracted from ~40 mini-DV tapes that I captured to several different external hard disks. I have made a couple of copies of the final DVD for future reference/backup.
In my perfect world, I would like to archive this project with the individual .avi video clips in addition to having my final DVD copies. However, I don't want to save all of the footage from the ~40 tapes -- I only want to save the numerous 10-30 sec .avi clips that made it into the final movie.
Obviously the Vegas Pro project knows where all of the raw footage is currenty. Is there any way I can use Vegas to write the individual clips to a single new directory which I can then back up for archival purposes? This would allow me to delete the ~40 captured tapes (freeing up a ton of disk space), but still allow me to reuse the selected .avi clips in other projects down the road if necessary.
Cheers and many thanks in advance!
Gary
