Project asset won't refresh

beaverbrook wrote on 6/5/2023, 2:25 AM

I delete my image object, and try to bring it back into the track, but it appears exactly the same size and shape, as if I had never deleted it.
This happens regardless of whether I also delete the track, "refresh" everything I can find to refresh, or whether I quit Vegas and start it up again.
It completely ignores the idea of "deleting" an asset, and it just brings it right back to the problematic state that I am trying to get rid of by deleting it.

Is there a way to make "delete" an ACTUAL delete rather than "kinda sorta" delete?

Thanks.

After deleting the video event from the timeline, go to the Project Media window and click on the button that window's top LH corner (Remove All Unused Media from Project) and that will clear that video event's details from the project. Then bring the video event back on to the timeline. Whether this solves the problem is another thing.

@beaverbrook Rename the file before bringing it back in, Vegas might be ref to a temp file.

Yeah, it required that I remove the media file from my project media list.
