Please help me on ths one. I'm working on a project filmed on minidv but which will be prejected through a projector to a screen for a conference. What would be the best rendering method for this? avi progressive, mpeg 2? etc...and if it's not too much to ask, what are the best settings for rendering?
Thanks in advance,

Paul

Paul -
I have projected many projects using Sorenson 3 compression at 640x480 and more recently MPEG 2 - both directly out of Vegas.
A lot depends on the notebook you will be using to project out of.
MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WORKS BEFORE YOU GET TO THE VENUE.
If you count on equipment, software or "specs", you are bound to get burned. Try to use a screen (if possible) rather than the wall. And make sure that you have ample AUDIO amplication to fill the hall that you are projecting in. Great looking video with terrible sound is much worse than dim footage with Great sound. If you don't believe this to be true, turn off the sound on any horror film, and then turn it back on, and just look away. The sound alone will scare the daylights out of you.
Of course, the best is to have great video and great sound.
Hope this helps.
