Project in 25p?

I am testing DVD Architect 5.2. I need to make a Bluray. The clip is a 1920x1080 ACV 25p file. It was rendered in that format in Sony Vegas.
I am not able to find that configuration on DVD Architect. In DVD Architect I only find 24p options.
The reason why I need to render in 25p is that the clip was originally recorded on 1920x1080 50p. It was edited in Vegas in slow motion (50%) and then rendered in 25. This way no clips were lost and no new clips were needed.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks.

Have you got the program set up for PAL rather than NTSC TV?

You can switch it over to PAL in the Project Properties (under the File menu).

You should have rendered your 25p as 50i if it is to be a full HD Blu-ray. It will still really be 25p but flagged as 50i.

See the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc about halfway down for the table of permissible formats. Note that they refer to 25 frames per second interlaced (50 fields per second) as 25i and not 50i.

Alternatively you could slow 25p down to 24p and use that.

When you say "clips" do you mean "frames"?

Thank you for your support.
I can´t choose the PAL option in Blu Ray settings. I am afraid it is ony possible in DVD settings.

Thank you Peterduke.
Yes, when I said clips I meant frames.
I thought than 50i would give me less quality than 25p.
The second option is to slow 25p to 24p. But in this case It would be necessary 1 more frame per second, wouldn´t it?

thoroughly - try going to Project Properties and in the Frame Rate drop down box select 25.000 interlaced. This is actually 50 frames interlaced into 25.

"I can´t choose the PAL option in Blu Ray settings. I am afraid it is ony possible in DVD settings."

That is because if you are being pedantic as SCS often is, PAL strictly refers to standard definition analog transmission. It is colloquially used to mean 50 Hz based standards such as 50i.

In DVDA, when you create a new Blu-ray project, you can select MPEG-2 1920x1080-50i, 16:9 or AVC 1920x10809-50i, 16:9. These are "PAL" templates. Note that they are only used if your video is not compatible (in the eyes of SCS!) with the Blu-ray spec. If your video is compatible, it is used as is without recoding.

You will find posts here on changing between 24 fps and 25 fps by stretching or shrinking as the case may be. The essential thing is that the number of frames is unchanged, and so there will be no loss of video quality.

One way to do it is:

1. Set the project properties to match your source video
2. Switch the timeline to show absolute frames. Note the number of frames in the video.
3. Set the project properties to your new frame rate.
4. Set the cursor to the frame number as noted above.
5. CTRL-drag the right hand end of the video to snap to the cursor.
6. Render to your new frame rate.

If you have the default audio options set, the audio will be stretched/shrunk using Elastique to change the duration but not the pitch.
