Lighting during your presentation.

If lights will be on some colors may be washed out. Might want to slightly
saturate.
If projector has a line audio out you may need a matching transformer
or use a DB box if needed to provide "ground lift" to fight hum.

Talk with the hotel or hall provider before the event to find out what
equipment they have so you are prepared.

Definitely talk with the hotel/hall provider about what they will or can provide. And do it early! They likely will contract out their AV service, so you need to try to talk directly with that service. They do this stuff for a living, so heed their advice!

(Don't overlook the audio set up...will they pipe sound through the banquet hall system, or set up their own equipment, etc.)

If you are using DVD, consider bringing your own player, if practical. (That way you'll know FOR SURE that your DVD will play correctly.)

Event is being handled by professional stager.
So not worried about sound.
Good advice on the lighting and making sure DVD plays in their system,---excellent suggestions.
My concern is how compressed video looks when projected, and what, if anything, I can do to enhance any shorcomings as regards resulution if that is going to be a problem.
Think there will be a couple of screens and a hall big enought to hold up to 700..
