Hi everyone,
I have a new Project properties of 1920*1080; 23.970fps
after importing a 1920*816 file at 23.976fps into the timeline if you answer YES to the question "Do you want ..."
the project is transformed into 1920*816 at 25fps and not 23.9765, why?
If I were to manually force it to 23,976 fps would it still be fine?

When I import a 1920x816 23.976 fps file into Vegas, Vegas adepts these settings to it's project settings. So project settings will be also be 1920x816 at 23.976 fps and not 25 fps.

Quando importante un file 1920x816 23.976 fps in Vegas, Vegas adatta queste impostazioni alle impostazioni del progetto. Quindi anche le impostazioni del progetto saranno 1920x816 a 23.976 fps e non a 25 fps.

Your imported video seems to be recorded at VFR (variable framerate). To get accurate framerate readings, imported video should be recorded with CFR (constant framerate)...you can try to convert the VFR recording to CFR with a tool like Handbrake or Shutterencoder, before importing into Vegas.

I read Maximum frame rate 24 000.000 fps but when I import amount in the timeline the project changes to 25, I I can't explain it

anyway it doesn't matter for this, I usually convert .kmv files to .mp4 with Movavi Video Converter Premium where there is only the option for VFR, automatic or custom
compared to HandBrake it is much faster, do you have any other solution to replace Movavi?
