In Mexico, Spain, Guatemala...all places I've trained folks, they call the app "VAY-Guh, like the star or the playwright. But as Gary says....it's Vay-gus. Like the city.

I always thought Vay-guh was a 3rd order of magnitude star near the south celestial pole.

Then again, Vegas is a very artsy piece of software and Degas was an artist. I don't recall anyone pronouncing his name with the "s".

Well the brightest star in the constellation Lyra is spelled "Vega" and prounounced Vay-ga.

I would say that it would be best to pronounce the "s" in Vegas, just to keep from getting the two confused.

In Israel it's pronounced "Oy-Vegas."
