It depends on the codec, frame rate and resolution.

Open the video clip in MediaInfo and post the specs.

There is not one single video format known as an MOV. An MOV (like an AVI) can represents any of countless codecs, frame rates and resolutions, only a few of which are compatible with most video editing programs.

Your file has 4 channels of audio and Vegas is expecting 2.

No suggestion on how to fix it. You may need to run it through Quicktime and delete two of the channels.

Thanks for your reply. I needed to upgrade to QT Pro then I could look at Movie Props.

Since reels were silent movies, I selected/highlighted the audio line, clicked delete box, then did save as. This file opened and placed into Vegas.

Appreciate the help!
