ProRes 4444 import?

It seems that Vegas 9 can not import Apple ProRes 4444 format even with the free ProRes decoder from Apple installed. When I drag these files to the timeline I only get two tracks of audio.

Is there a codec pack available for Vegas which would allow ProRes 4444 importing? Or any other solutions to editing ProRes 4444 files with Vegas?

"If" there is to be a read-only codec for QT that will work in Vegas, it will be released by Apple (not Sony). The current one is here http://support.apple.com/kb/DL2
I doubt it will work, but did you try opening your video in a 32-bit Vegas project?

You might email David at Cineform, and ask if one of their 444 codecs can be used as an intermediate. I have no idea.

Do a forum search for "ProRes" and you'll probably find the answer to your question. It's been discussed a far amount in the past few weeks.

Are you using the latest version of Pro 9?
There was a fix in Pro 9.0d that resolved issues with the latest version of QuickTime.
