ProRes - In the Vegas both look the same but not in output file

I'm tired of Vegas errors.

I have two timelines -- one is the main movie, and above it is a timeline with individual corrected frames. Both are ProRes 4444XQ (limited) files -- but one has an alpha channel (unused).

In the Vegas window, they both look the same. And after rendering to MP4 with Voukoder, it turns out that these inserted frames have a different color range. In Vegas, they look the same, but the wrong ones are sent to the encoder. I don't even want to investigate this further...

Is this a Voukoder issue? It's accessing the raw frame data in my understanding.

I don't think this is a Voukoder problem. Voukoder probably doesn't even know what the source file is; it's just receiving the "raw" data from Vegas. It's more likely a Vegas issue with ProRes format support.

That makes sense.

Do you have an older version of VEGAS like 21.208 you could copy and paste the timeline into as a workaround?

I don't want to check anymore :) I rendered one file from YUVA444 to YUV444 and the problem disappeared.
