ProRes Raw and Vegas?

I'm guessing this is a long way off if ever for Vegas but,....

Does anybody know how NLE's for Windows will be able to support this in the future? Is this something that Apple will hoard for themselves? Technically we have "ProRes" support today. But how does this work from an Apple licensing perspective?

Can a third party developer create a "ProRes Raw" CODEC for decoding in VFW or something else that everybody can decode with?

Is this even on Vegas' radar for the future. It looks to be a Hell of allot better than CinemaDNG so far.

Any guesses?

Very good questions I think, but hard to answer at the moment. I have here both the FS7 and the EVA1, that will start to deliver ProRes RAW together with my Shogun Inferno on Monday. However, there is no way for me to use ProRes RAW at the moment on my Windows based machines.

And I have no idea if Vegas, Edius or Resolve (the tools I tend to use) will support ProRes RAW in the future, if at all. Maybe Resolve 15, what we should know on Monday hopefully.

So I think we have to wait.

But for here the interesting question is, how many User here would say that ProRes RAW is interesting for them?
