ProType: Improve Preview Rate?

In wanting to improve my Previewing/reviewing rates, of my efforts in PrTp, I've experimented with muting the various adjustment tracks I have inserted. I'm not getting an improvement? Maybe I shouldn't? Would be nice though.

Would somebody please confirm/deny this: Muting Adjustment Tracks for better Preview rates/fps?

TIA

Grazie

I'm not seeing any problemo in the FX itself, the T/L is slow though.
This is a pretty calculation heavy process.
Preview using GPU seems to be the norm these days and this is one task that the GPU would excel at as it's the same as what games are doing. For final render you get the option to switch to a software renderer.

All I can really suggest is more CPU power, sorry.

Just did some more testing using the Drop Split from the collection.
Plays back at Best / Full around 4fps on the T/L. At one stage trying to fiddle with things I got a .NET exception error but plowed on and tried again.
Muting the GB sure didn't help, if anything it slowed it down!
Went back and had a careful look and the Mute doesn't!
It mutes the control, it doesn't bypass the FX from what I can see because the amount of vertical GB goes to 11, no wonder it went slower. This cannot be intended behaviour surely?
