ProType Title Animation

Am I going insane?

If I type a layer of text then decide to add an animation to it, I can't.

I seem to be only able to create a new layer of text, then I modify that.

Where is the animation preset panel and why can't I drag and drop it onto an existing text layer?

Vegas 11 64 bit.

In V11 they moved the collections. There is a small icon just below and to the left of the ProTYpe preview window. It sits within a grey horizontal band. Click on this to get a full pulldown menu of Animated Preset Titles. Sorry .. as far as I know .. You cannot apply these to existing text boxes but you can cut and paste the text into the default preset text..

Within the preset pulldown menu, double click a preset (like "Flying In or Drop Split" to get it to appear. You will see it in the preview window and within the ProType timeline. To replace the default text on the presets 1) copy the text you wish to use to the clipboard 2) double click the default text within the preset box to go into edit mode, 3) highlight the text or use Ctrl-A to highlight all the text, 4) do Ctrl V to replace the text.

Of course you can just type over the preset default text too. You should be able to change fonts etc after the new text is entered.
