If anyone from the MAGIX team is viewing this post, please update ProType Title with new options, effects, and presets.
ProType Title is an excellent text authoring, editing and animation tool and Vegas is the only video editor I know to have such a tool.
If there is a Vegas tool that deserves an update for sure it is the ProType Title.
I know the team has been working hard and has other priorities at the moment, but please, if possible put this order on the Vegas update list.

You can rest easy knowing this has been brought to their attention by many others, and they know it's one of our priorities, which means it is likely one of theirs as well. A titler overhaul with lots of easy to use and customize transitions, reveals, hides, etc... is one of the few things Vegas still needs.
@fr0sty - I wish I shared your “confidence”. I haven’t seen any, recent ( eight+ years?) development for PTT. Look, it’s GUI is really the best thing about it, but after exploring even that it is limited to a few illogical temporal and spatial functions which drive me nutz. It’s as if the development/developer just disappeared leaving MAGIX with Tumbleweed bouncing through the PTT corridor. I’ve mentally placed PTT in the same “pending” file/folder as Sony’s Media Manager, it too having no development or functional replacement. 😔
Now, back to PTT development or lack of, another company NewBlue has its own hybrid Plug-SAL NBTitler Pro. I’ve used it on many client’s projects. The big difference is that It gets developed at each version. This I like and need. I need to be aware that s/w is being developed/improved. In the meantime, and outside of NBTP I can get most things done with VP Legacy Text. Sure, AE it ain’t, but until that time.....
I can't stand new blue, I've never been able to get their products to work reliably and they never update the bugs out of them.
One thing you're not considering is how much ground they've covered, how Vegas is essentially as modernized as any other NLE today, so among the only things left to do is show the titler some love. I don't see why they wouldn't at this point.

Possibly Magix will hand it off as part of Vegas Post if you need to use anything more elaborate than the old PTT.
