Here's a freebie - nothing real fancy, but what the heck it's fun to share some ideas.
1. place two identical events on over-and-under video tracks
2. top video track - set to ~41% transparent. Add a fade in ~ 0.19 seconds duration.
3. bottom video track - add a fade in ~ 1.06 seconds duration.
4. Change both fade-ins to a "circle out, white border" iris transition.
I came upon this while expirementing, and liked how the "two tone" video integrates with the multiple expanding circles. Kind of comes across like a psychadelic water splash effect. I used it to transition in on a clip that had a lot of brown and orange tones in it, and it gave it kind of a "Brady Bunch" look-n-feel.
