ptt from USB

I was hoping somebody could help me. Is it possible to ptt with an USB cable? Or is there another way I can playback to my camera? I have a Sony TRV350 camcorder. I am doing a video for work so I am unable to install a firewire card into my computer. I was thinking my only other alternative is to create a VCD and go that route. Your thoughts and or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

USB is not meant for high speed transfers of video. USB2 could handle it but the cameras/nles/decks are made with firewire in mind. So in short the only way to send video digitally to a camera is with firewire.
hope this helps

Do you have standard composite connectors on your PC? Like video out on a graphics card? That way your computer could play into the Video In port on your camcorder.

I have a TRV-350 too but since you say you do not have firewire available use the S-video and mini on the to get the video and audio out. Monster cables have one set up look that with the three composite RCA plugs on the other end to be plugged into the video in of your capture card. Also you have a cable that came with the camera that is mini for both video and audio the has the RCA composite on the other end. This will work too but it will not be as good as the S-Video will, I personally woud not use USB for anything other than still image capure, not for any streaming video.

Thanks for the info. I kind of figured that USB 2.0 would not work but I was hoping.
