PTT from Vegas Video LE?

I have several work associates I have given copies, well, not copies, but individually liscensed (promo) versions of Vegas Video LE. They are liking using it, but can't print to tape, which frustrates them and gets them back to using Premiere. I looked too, and could find no place to print to tape using LE. Is there a capture/print tool available for download for users of Vegas Video LE? I'm sure once they start using it they will want to buy the full blown version of Vegas.

ptt from the timeline will not work in Vegas LE (by design).

I'm not asking about PTT from timeline. I just mean PTT at all! There is no print to tape or capture software included at all on the cd. (That I am aware of!) If there is some way to print to tape using LE, then I am going to have a workshop to teach them all how to use it. If there is no way to print what they have made back to DV tape, then it's pointless. I suppose they could edit on LE, then import to Premiere to print to tape, but that still means they have to buy Premeire when they could be buying Vegas.

Why not buy the upgrade to the full version of Vegas Video 3.0c at $200USD? This is much cheaper than Premiere and the full version includes the Video Capture and Print to Tape features. LE is only meant as a promotional tool to get a feel for the product.

HeeHee: I have Vegas. I'm trying to persuade other campus tech managers in my school district to switch from Adobe to SoFo. They are not going to buy Vegas just to try it out.
martyh: Thanks, but I tried that already. It wants a serial number for Vegas or VF. I have a few of each from my own copies, but am not going to download and pass out the software illegally.

I just would like to know if whether or not printing to tape is something that can be done with LE.

Print to tape in Vegas 3 LE requires rendering the project to file and using the Video Capture tool to print back to the cam/deck. This is the same way PTT is done in Vegas 2, and VideoFactory.

Video Capture is installed right along with Vegas 3LE, same installer, launch it from file>open or the media pool.

Render timeline to DV, print it back with vidcap. I just tried it in V3LE, works.

Yep! There it is, right on the cd! Sorry...I'm "relaying messages" and didn't look very hard myself, exept for within the program itself.

Thanks!!!!!
