PTT presets gone AWOL

I have a very strange problem I hope one of you bright and talented folks can help me resolve. I have a nice PTT preset I created in V8.0. The preset name shows up in V9.0 32 and 64 bit version, but in both of those there is nothing in the event if you drag the preset to the timeline. Same if I save a titlle with this preset in V8.0 and then load in in V9.0 - the title event is on the timeline, but it is empty. It was a functioning title in V8.0.

I'm running Vista on my video PC. I thought the presets were stored in "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Sony\Titler 1.0\Collection" but there is no Collection folder on my PC. I did a Windows search for my preset's name and got nada. I also checked with Preset Manager 2.0 but it knows nothing about PTT.

I created a dummy PTT preset in V9.0 and I now see a "C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\Son y\Titler 1.0\config.xml, but it doesn't look like a full preset definition.

Where are my V8.0 PTT presets and how do I get them into V9.0? And why would a PTT tittle created in V8.0 show up empty in V9.0. That is a bit scary.

BTW, I ran a chkdsk on the drive just to be sure there wasn't something flakey there but it seems fine.

All my PTT are available in V8 and V9 versions, 32 bit V8 and V9 and 64 bit in V9. I'm running Win7 and they are located at " Users/Paul/AppData/Roaming/Sony/FX Presets" -- They are all *.dxp files named with the name of the PTT Custom Preset. Some were created in V8 others in V9. - Paul

Hmm... I find the preset file there. It works in V8 but not in V9e. Your profile says V9d - is that correct? Could this be a problem that showed up in V9e?

I confirmed that my V9e is saving the presets to the same location. Could someone try creating a preset in V8 and see if you can use it in V9e? I'd like to determine whether this is a bug or just a problem on my system.

I can save a preset in V8 and use in in V9e 64 bit. I have V9d in 32 bit -- and that works as well ------- however, there is a bug that prevents you from using a PTT titler presets when a gradient fill is applied in V8 or anything prior to V9e, I think. Is this the problem? Known bug. Or is it just any title not involving a gradient fill?

No gradient in the preset that's not workin in V9 but it does have a stroke color. I have another preset that has no stroke or gradient and it works in V8 and V9.

I'll submit the problem preset file to SCS and see if it is a bug. Thanks for your help xberk.
