PTT problem

I note several users, and now myself, have had a problem printing to tape from the timeline, because Vegas 6.0d stops with a prompt that the only DV device connected, a Cirrus Logic, is unavailable. The drop-down menu for video devices lists only Cirrus Logic. I have never consciously installed a Cirrus Logic anything, and can't get to the final step of actually sending the render out to my Panny DVX100. The last screen before the render, for choosing auto or manual device operation, is greyed out.

However, odd thing--I tried loading the same files onto the timeline for the newest Vegas Movie Studio and it PTT's just fine. Only--I can only output it as a 29.97 file and not '24p with 2-3 pulldown,' which of course is not a function of Movie Studio.

I tried one workaround that involves removing a registry entry. Didn't work and suddenly my Track EQ plugin disappeared--then had to reinstall the whole drive from a Norton Ghost image file.

Well, at least I got the thing on tape. Seems that Vegas 6.0 is the only NLE on my system that can't see my DVX100 to send a PTT. Is anyone aware of Sony addressing this?
