PTT Trouble

Trying to Print To Tape (a small .avi file on hard drive) using Vegas Capture and a Canon XL2 -

Can't Preview or Record to Device.

Getting message: "Please insure that your device can accept input ( hr = 0x80040217) "

Anyone?

Can you capture from the camera?

You don't say what you've tried, but if you booted with camera on, try with cam off, (or vice versa).

Is camera in VCR mode? Is tape record enable tab closed?
