Punch-in: Double click a file to place on timeline

Search Vegas help for "punch-in". Vegas help instructs us to "double-click a file in the Vegas Pro Explorer or Project Media window" to place a file on the timeline. This works fine in Vegas Pro Explorer. But when I double click on the file name of media in the Project Media window it goes into "rename" mode. But if I double click on the File Type or many (not all) of the other columns in the Project Media Window the file is placed on the timeline at the cursor. But in Vegas Pro Explorer double clicking on the file name adds that file to the timeline at the cursor.

I never noticed this behavior before. Is this a bug? I'm using VP15.
