Under TOOLS, select "Clean Media Pool" at the bottom.

I personally like to bring everything for a particular project into a single folder. that way, once the project is finished, I can burn it onto a CD for archive, then just delete the entire folder without fear of "losing" anything.

Hope this helps.

Also, I usually 'save as' to a new folder and click the box that says 'copy media files' (or something similar) and this gives me a new fresh folder with just the files I've used. Be sure to do this after (as suggested in the previous post) you've swept clean the media pool. Then delete the old folder and your unused files are history.

That dosent get rid of any inactive takes however. If you have several "takes" ontop of each other, for example if you were droping in a lot, you will have one active take and several inactive ones for each clip you droped in on. cleaning the media pool and or save as in a new folder does not get rid of these automaticly. As far as I can see you still have to do this manualy for each audio clip you have. A command for this would be cool.
