Putting the tracks at the botom of the screen.

Well, I poked around in the internal prefs (something you should be really careful about) and found "Frame Dock At Top"

At first try it seemed to simply remove all of the dockable windows and leave nothing but the tracks. Eventually I figured out that the docking area really was at the top of the app but needed to be draged down so you could see it.

Don't know why it is so hard to get at but maybe it causes problems. I'lll try it for a bit and see. Anyway, now I've got tracks at the bottom and docks at the top.

Woo Hoo!

Hey that's pretty neat! I wish it didn't separate the tool bar from the track view though.

Where do you find the internal prefs you refer to?

I had a quick scan of the reg and couldn't find it

Okay, I didn't want to give everything away.

Press shift as you click on preferences. I have to warn you though, this is a good way to put the curse on Vegas.

Yow Thanks,

Now if I could just dock the mixer at the bottom right and have the preview scale to the size of the preview window not just 50 or 100% I would be in Nirvana

Okay, first off ... how in the h*ll do you just stumble on something like that ? =)

Second, ya know I've been editing exclusively in Vegas for way to long cuz after applying the " tweak " , I feel like I'm editing on my head.

The Shift/Preferences thing has been around for a long time. However, someone from Sony usually jumps in at this point to warn you that you can really mess up how Vegas works if you start changing things in this hidden dialog box.
