QT 7 Pro any reason to buy/upgrade?

Is there any reason to buy QT pro seeing that the HD codec is not compatible with Vegas as of yet ,beside the mpeg 4 codec we got with 6.c
I'm mean does Pro give you anything more than just additional player functions and the ability to save movies?
I have QT 7 installed just wondering what the 30 bucks would get me that I dont already have?

I am still unable to export QT H.264 AVC from V6c timeline so I would recommend holding off on QT7 unless you absolutely want to use it for something else.

On a side note, I ended up getting a license from a friend fr pretty cheap for Mainconcept's new H,264 Version 2.0 encoder and I must say I am rather impressed with their HD AVC output. But at the price tag of $499, I wouldnt have bought it without the deep discount.

thanks Patrick,
well looks like you missed another whirlwind year here in Fl.
Wilma passed under us here in the Tampa bay area, with alot of wind but relitively no real damage. Unfortunately the Naples area and the east coast by Miami and Lauderdale didnt fair so well.
I m wondering about our boys Jay Gladwell and Vic Milt.
dropped them an email we'll see.....

Yeah I missed the canes this year. However, if I would have taken the job at Plantation High in Broward County, I would have gotten hit with Katrina first and then the one yesterday. So I feel very fortunate though it sucks because I am stuck here in Kentucky as a substitute teacher. Its a job and a paycheck, just not a steady one.

Hope all down there is well and that no one was severely affected by the storm.
