I have a film split into reels that were created on a Mac using a DV codec (so I was told). When selecting any of them in the explorer window, I get a "stream attributes cannot be determined" on the video line of the status bar. When I right click on the file and select properties, I get the following:

Plug-In
Name: qt5plug.dll
Folder: C:\Program Files\Sony\Vegas 6.0\FileIO Plug-Ins\qt5plug
Version: Version 1.0 (Build 2648)
Company: Madison Media Software, Inc.
When I drag the file into the timeline, only the audio comes in (which is not the big of a surprise, considering that's the only portion of the file that Vegas can suss out). The Plug-In params jump out at me - I'm almost positive that these files were encoded with QT7. Can someone help me understand the reference to "QT5plug" - and whether or not it has bearing on my problem?
Thanks.
Side note: the files play in the QT and QT Alternative players, and likewise I can load them into Cubase SX and run them in a QT or DirectShow (QTAlt) window.
