QT or AVI...

At the Studio we mainly run Avid Adrenaline(s) on PC(s) and do all Media/File Exports as QuickTime H.264 or QT UnCompressed or Animation.

At Home I sometimes run FCP (when a client asks for it) and do all Media/File Exports as QuickTime H.264 or QT UnCompressed or Animation.

At Home I prefer to run Vegas for my projects and do so when the client does not care what the project's done with... just that it's done right. I usually do all Media/File Exports as DV AVI or UnCompressed.

My questions are...
Would it be best to just stick with one type of Media/File Export?
ie -QuickTime H.264 or QT UnCompressed or Animation.
Is the Vegas QuickTime H.264 or QT UnCompressed or QT Animation codec as good as its AVI codec?

-My visual tests yielded no difference but I'm wondering if any of you with a more knowledgeable eye have any thoughts.

You're in the best position to test but here's what I'd consider

DV AVI is still just 4:1:1 DV, Uncompressed is 4:4:4.

Do you need to exchange media files between the systems?
How do your exports from Vegas run on the other systems? Would people complain about them?
How does h.264 or QT uncompressed run in Vegas? Are they usable?

The assumption for Vegas is that DV-AVI, Sony YUV-AVI, and Uncompressed AVI are the formats of choice, but if others work well and allow you to "play well with others" then there's value in using them.
