QTs with alpha channel not showing?

I have a bunch of QTs i created in After Effects using QT with Animation codec + alpha channel but when i bring those into Vegas 8 i get image on black screen. ANy reason for that?

You need to select the alpha channel. Right clip on the click and select PROPERTIES. Then select the MEDIA tab. About 2/3 down that page is an option for Alpha Channel. Select whichever type is in your source video (if you don't know, just use "straight (unmatted)."

That should do the trick.

while you're there, you can click the floppy icon in the middle of the dialog, and Vegas should correctly recognize them in the future.
