Hello,

I have recieved an old workstation that has a Quadro FX 4500 with the most recent drivers installed, but both Vegas and Catalyst Brows do not detect it even if my computer does. To my knowledge, any quadro above a certain FX with a certain driver should work. I can post my system information if you guys want. Thanks.

I am not sure if that card is supported but even if it is it may actually slow you down depending on the CPU you have in your system. GPU acceleration starts to work ok with approx. 400 CUDA cores.

Vegas and Catalyst requires a card that supports OpenCL. I don't see that in any of the specs for the Quadro FX 4500. It supports OpenGL and DirectX but not OpenCL which is probably why it's not showing up as supported.

If you look at QUADRO DRIVER RELEASE 259 is says:

"Support for the Open Computing Language (OpenCL) 1.0 in Quadro FX Series x700 and newer as well as the FX4600 and FX5600."

It sounds like your FX4500 is below the minimum spec which is the x700 series (i.e., FX4700) or FX4600. :(
