Quadro Stability question VP11 vs VP13

I just had a friend visit (lives in CA now) and we met yesterday, and nice to know that he is also using Vegas Pro for his multimedia needs.
He has a crash problem when rendering via Mainconcept with GPU Quadro support, turning off GPU support solved the issue, although, similar to many users here as well, he still expects wanted it to work.
He didn't upgrade to VP12 but still considering for upgrading to VP13 if this issue fixed.

I forgot to asked what Quadro type he is using for his desktop, but what I want to know, based on users' experience here, especially those using Quadro cards and had trouble in VP11*, what Quadro card are you using and do have any stability improvement during rendering?

*I noticed in his laptop he is using VP11b511, AMD GPU assisted - no problem for the laptop - so I assume the desktop version with Quadro card, is installed with the same build.

I'm using a Quadro 4000 with the 311.35 drivers and everything is working fine with Vegas Pro 12.0 and 13.0. These are not the latest drivers but they work solid for me.

Using one system with Quadro 4000 and another system with Quadro K5000, driver 332.76 (latest).

Vegas 11 was almost unusable.
Vegas 12 was usable, but constant crashes, many attempts to render, etc.
Vegas 13 has been solid as a rock. I don't know enough to know if my issues were GPU related or not, but the Quadro cards are working OK.

Hi guys, thanks for share.

I just able to asked him what card he use.
He is using K2000, so I think theoretically it should work perfectly then.

I'll let him know. Thanks!
