Word on screen:
Type text on track 1
Put media to be seen in letters on Track 2

Press the Child button on track 2, making track 1 the Parent.
On track 1, press the compositing mode button and make the text be in Multiply/mask mode.

You're done.

To do PIP...
press the track motion button on the track that is supposed to be smaller.
resize the frame in the track motion tool.
Maybe add a shadow if you need one for separation.

I'm pretty new to Vegas, and I'm not sure where the 'track motion button' is :-\ Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's one of the little buttons that in each track's header on the left(not sure what they call those boxes). You know, where the track name is, the fader slider, etc. Track Motion is applied to a TRACK, hence the name, so you can't work with it at the individual event, and you won't find it in the FX plugins.

i'd recomend reading over the help file to get used to the layout of the program. I'd reccomend printing it off & reading it whlie on the can. :) Or, if you bought the boxed version, use the quickstart guide.

It's kinda like asking where the stearing wheel is on your car. :)

Thanks, got it. :)

One LAST question, maybe :P

How do you ZOOM in the video? Like, in a certain part of the video I want the video to zoom in on something, how do you do it?

I'm pretty familiar with video editing itself, and KIND of used to vegas, which I used to just use it for streaming, and not editing, but lately I've been trying to learn how to edit as well, and I'm very pleased.
