Question about Chapter marker #1

I've added several Chapter markers to my video, it was pretty easy to do, but the first, default chapter marker just says "1: Chapter".

I want to rename it to something else, but when I right-click it, it just says "Go to chapter", but not "rename" or "delete" like the others.

How can I rename this to something other than "Chapter"?

And, how do I turn these chapter markers I made into "Scene Selections"?

Edit: OK - I just made a new chapter marker next to the first one, then drug it on top of the orginal one. It seemed to work, and I can rename it or whatever I want, but is there another way of doing this, or is this it?

I've never bothered renaming the chapter markers. I've always just subsituted the numbers with names in the menu layout screens.

I think it is fixed and you cannot modify it.

So how do I make the chapter markers into scene selections?

i.e. I have a short 2 minute video with four chapter markers in it. Is there a way to make those into scene selections?

I want it so there's a button for "scene 1", "scene 2", etc...

Is it obvious and I'm just missing it or what?

Edit: OK - I figured it out... not exactly sure how I did it, but will be able to figure it out again. The "scene selection" was grayed out, but I think clicking on the video clip made it selectable.

1. Drag onto a menu the video that has the chapter markers. This will create a button on the menu.
2. Right-click on the button and select "Insert Scene Selection Menu."

So, John, when is a Chapter a "scene"? Chapters can be played independently of each other and revert to the Menu from whence they came. So far I've understood that by making separate Chapters and dragging the same 100 minute clip to the menu I get distinct, discreet and singular independent chapters. If I insert a scene Selection Menu and play the middle one, this plays and then also plays the remaining "Chapters" too.

Once again I'm travelling within own personal hell. Why do I think sideways - even when I don't need to? - Don't answer that one!
