Question about Color Correction

Yes, I was wondering. Does Vegas have the capability to to superimpose a color signal from one video onto another? I forget the specific name for this kind of technology but I know it has been used to restore old films, and I understand Vegas is pretty top-of-the-line, so I am wondering if there is a way to do this within Vegas.. Thanks in advance!

Do you mean to remove a colour cast from one video to make it look like another that does not have the cast?

There's a built in effect called Color Match, under the Video FX tab. After applying this to an event it gives you several choices of how to copy settings from Source to Target.

I think what you are asking for is the channel mixer fx in Vegas. You can use it to replace/rebuild weak or damaged channels with percentages of good channels. This is a technique used in restoring old faded and/or color shifted footage. This can get involved to learn and you should first try the color match capability in Vegas - it might give you all you need.
