Question about Encoding V5 for YouTube

Can anyone recommend the best video and audio formats, bit rates, frame size, and any other particulars for getting the best possible quality image and sound from V5 (NTSC DV) into YouTube? I know that YouTube say that 320x240 30p Mpeg4 with mp3 audio converts well on their side but this is not an option in V5. Anyone getting good results with wmv or other? TIA

Ok, after a little experimenting I found that they can get reasonably good conversion at YouTube with the upload file being encoded directly in V5 with the following settings:

video:

WMV9
cBR = 1M
320x240
30 fps

audio:

128 kbps, 44 kHz, stereo (A/V) CBR

The picture quality on YouTube comes very close to the original 320x240 wmv V5 version. The audio is 'ok' with no sync problems.

If there are better ways to go I'd like to hear them. After fooling around with external encoders trying to get a good quality vid in the Youtube-recommended formats, I gave up due to unacceptable changes in gamma, deinterlacing and audio sync issues.
