Question about Fading Text

I realize that I can fade text in and out by pushing one event into another but is there a way I can add text to a background and use a plug in or something to fade the text in and out without having to push it in to another event? Thanks

Just mouse over the right or left side of the clip until you get the quarter circle, then click and drag in and that will create the fade.

Yup! Place a clip on the t/l - give some space before and aft of clip, don't worry this is only for learning.

Carefully move your mouse cursor to either the top right hand corner of the video.

You should see a tiny quardrant type image emerge - yeah? Well this means you picked up the "Fade" option hold down the mouse button and you can noe fade out the clip.

If you went to the begining of the video of the video clip you will see the same quadrant. Do the same and you can fade in the clip - easy peasy!!!
