Question about project properties for HD1080i

Before I got started on my project, I wanted to confirm that I have the right project properties for a 1080i project with the FX7.

Template: HDV 1080-60i (1440x1080, 29.97fps)
Field Order: Upper Field First
PAR: 1.3333(HDV 1080i)
Frame rate: 29.97 NTSC
Pixel format - 8-bit
Full-resolution rendering quality: Best
Motion type blur: Gaussian
Deinterlace method: None <- what about this? Is None the right value or is it better to deinterlace?

(Adjust source media to better match project or render settings box is clear)

Render: (for SD DVD)
Save as: MPEG-2
Template: DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream

Please let me know if any of these settings don't look right...(or can be improved)

Thanks,
Kunal

Pick "blend" or "interpolate" for your Deinterlace Method, don't leave it at "none". I've been happy with "blend", myself.

Even when you are going from one interlaced format to another interlaced format, when you are downscaling from HD to SD (or doing any resizing of the video), Vegas needs to deinterlace before it does the scaling and then it will reinterlace it back to your output format for you.
